Norm was founded in 1999 by Swiss graphic designers Dimitri Bruni and Manuel Krebs. Norm designs and publishes books and typefaces. Publications include self-commissioned research in the field of type and graphic design, including Norm: Introduction (2000) and Norm: The Things (2002). Commissions include collaborations with museums (Tate Modern, London; Kunsthaus, Zürich; Museum for Design, Zürich) and artists (Fischli-Weiss, Simon Starling, Dieter Roth). Type design projects include the typeface “Simple” for the Cologne airport (2003), a typeface for the Swiss watch company Omega and the recently released “Replica”(2008). Norm typefaces are distributed by Lineto.
